Hamilton  ο Πεντάστερος Ο Βρετανός παρότι δεν κέρδισε στον αγώνα του Μεξικό, εξασφάλισε το φετινό πρωτάθλημα. Μάλιστα έγινε μόλις ο τρίτος άνθρωπος που κατορθώνει να κατακήσει 5 τίτλους, μετά τον Juan Manuel Fangio και τον Michael Schumacher. Τα πάνω κάτω ήρθαν στον αγώνα της Αυστρίας! Οι δύο Mercedes ενώ είχαν κατακτήσει τις δύο πρώτες θέσεις στις κατατακτήριες, αμφότερες εγκατέλειψαν. Όμως ο Vettel δεν κατάφερε να εκμεταλλευτεί στο έπακρο αυτό το γεγονός, διότι ενώ είχε καταταγεί 3ος, δέχτηκε ποινή επειδή εμπόδισε άλλον οδηγό στο Qualifying και ξεκίνησε τελικά από την έκτη θέση. Μάλιστα, για πρώτη ίσως φορά στα χρονικά, ο πρώτος οδηγός της Ferrari (Vettel) τερμάτισε πίσω από τον δεύτερο (Raikkonen), σε αντίθεση με αυτό που είχε συμβεί πριν χρόνια στη συγκεκριμένη πίστα, όταν ο Barrichello πήγαινε για τη νίκη και του έδωσαν εντολή να αφήσει τον Schumacher να κερδίσει. Τότε ήταν και πιο αχρείαστη αυτή η εντολή, αφού ο Schumacher προηγείτο άνετα στο πρωτάθλημα και δεν θα του έλειπαν οι βαθμοί, όπως μπορείτε να διαβάσετε και εδώ: 2002 Austrian GP . Μάλλον ο πιο βαρετός αγώνας της χρονιάς, μέχρι τώρα τουλάχιστον. Οι 5 πρώτοι οδηγοί τερμάτισαν ακριβώς με τη σειρά που ξεκίνησαν, με τον Ricciardo να παίρνει την καρό σημαία, χάρη στην εκπληκτική επίδοση που είχε στις κατατακτήριες δοκιμές. Ο Αυστραλός βέβαια, έπρεπε να υπερκεράσει τα μηχανικά προβλήματα και να αντέξει την πίεση του 2ου Vettel, που δεν ήταν και τόσο ασφυκτική. Το πιο ενδιαφέρον στον αγώνα ήταν η προσπάθεια του Verstappen, που ξεκίνησε από την τελευταία θέση επειδή διέλυσε το μονοθέσιό του στις δοκιμές του Σαββάτου. Ο οδηγός της Red Bull κατάφερε να αναρριχηθεί μέχρι τη 10η θέση σχετικά γρήγορα, όμως το Monaco δεν προσφέρει και πολλές ευκαιρίες για προσπεράσεις, οπότε συμβιβάστηκε με την 9η θέση τελικά. Το γελαστό παιδί από την Αυστραλία, ο Ricciardo, πήρε τη νίκη στο GP της Κίνας, επωφελούμενος από το safety car που βγήκε στην πίστα μετά τη σύγκρουση των δύο Toro Rosso (τη θυγατρική ομάδα της Red Bull, για την οποία νίκησε ο Ricciardo). Η φάση του αγώνα ανήκει στον Verstappen, τον άλλο οδηγό της Red Bull, ο οποίος στην προσπάθειά του να προσπεράσει, εμβόλισε τον Vettel. Το αποτέλεσμα ήταν να κάνουν και οι δύο τετακέ και να χάσουν κάποιες θέσεις. Όμως ο Verstappen επανέκαμψε, τερματίζοντας στην 4η θέση, την οποία τελικά έχασε χάρη στην ποινή-χάδι των 10 δευτερολέπτων που του επιβλήθηκε. Apart from Mercedes, only Ricciardo Ricciardo won the 2nd race in a row. That was the Australian's third victory this year, while Vettel is struggling just to get on the podium. Rosberg hit Hamilton on the first lap, while trying to gain the first place he lost to his team mate. That resulted a damaged front wing for the German and a flat tyre for the Briton. Hamilton was forced to drive several kilometers with that puncture, until he reached the pits. After that, he was outpaced and finally retired a few laps before the end. That was not the only problem of Rosberg. At some point, a strange ribbon got stuck on his car, right in front of his face. But despite that, he managed to claim 2nd place. He who smiles last, smiles best! Daniel Ricciardo won the second GP of his career in front of Alonso and Hamilton. That was an eventful race. Hamilton despite having started from the pit lane, took advantage of the safety car and finished third. On the contrary, Rosberg started from pole and lost time at the first period of the safety car. After that and because of the pit stops, the German fell behind Hamilton but was faster than the Briton, who was ordered to let the championship leader to pass. Finally some change Due to mechanical problems, Hamilton was forced to retire, Rosberg was out of pace and Ricciardo took advantage of that, winning his first ever grand prix in Formula 1! Hamilton started better than Rosberg, but the German managed to stay first. The two drivers were fighting on the limit when a mechanical problem occurred on both Mercedes. Hamilton eventually retired and Rosberg kept going, but was a bit slower. That's why Perez, Ricciardo, Vettel and storming Massa (who set the fastest lap of the race) caught up with him. Perez also had a problem (with brakes) and Ricciardo got past him. The Mexican lost another place to Vettel, while the Australian was already leading the race over Rosberg. Άνετος και ωραίος ο Vettel Διόρθωσε την γκάφα που είχε κάνει πριν δύο χρόνια χάνοντας τη νίκη μέσα από τα χέρια του τότε. Δε φαίνεται να μπορεί κάποιος να ανακόψει αυτόν τον γερμανό.
