The dutch was in the right place at the right moment, after switching teams from Toro Rosso to Red Bull for this race. It all started when Rosberg, who managed to pass Pole man Hamilton at the first corner, abruptly moved to the right and forced his teammate to go off track. The Briton lost control of his car, crashed into Rosberg's car and both drivers retired. With the cars of Mercedes out of race, Ferrari had a huge opportunity to close the gap but lost to Red Bull... Hamilton is Back Rosberg was again the fastest at Free Practice 3, but Hamilton took the Pole Position for tomorrow and the German will be second. Internal transfer Verstappen got a promotion and from now on will be the second driver of Red Bull. His place in Toro Rosso is filled by Kvyat, who left Red Bull, because of performance in the previous races. Άλλος ένας ανατρεπτικός αγώνας ολοκληρώθηκε. Και αυτή τη φορά, είδαμε διαφορετικό οδηγό να παίρνει τη νίκη και μάλιστα με διαφορετική ομάδα! Ο πέμπτος αγώνας της χρονιάς μας επιφύλασε τον πέμπτο διαφορετικό νικητή, τον Pastor Maldonado, που πήρε την πρώτη του νίκη, αλλά και την πρώτη νίκη για την ομάδα του Sir Frank Williams μετά το μακρινό πια, 2004. Η εμφάνιση αυτή αποδεικνύει ότι όλα αυτά τα χρόνια έλειπε από την ομάδα ένας ανταγωνιστικός κινητήρας για να μπορέσουν να βρεθούν ξανά στο υψηλότερο σκαλί του βάθρου. Πίσω του τερμάτισε ο Alonso με τη Ferrari, που παρότι πίεσε δεν κατάφερε να βρεθεί μπροστά από τον εκπληκτικό οδηγό από τη Βενεζουέλα. Στο τρίτο σκαλί του πόντιουμ ανέβηκε ο Raikkonen, ενώ πίσω του τερμάτισε ο ομόσταβλός του, βοηθώντας έτσι τη Lotus να μαζέψει πολύτιμους βαθμούς. Έντονο το απόγευμα για τον Vettel, που παρά την ποινή διέλευσης που δέχτηκε, στο τέλος του αγώνα πάλεψε και κατάφερε να περάσει τις 2 McLaren και να πάρει αρκετούς βαθμούς ώστε να ισοβαθμεί με...

Από την τελευταία θέση θα ξεκινήσει τελικά τον αγώνα της Ισπανίας ο Hamilton! O Βρετανός σημείωσε τον ταχύτερο χρόνο στις χθεσινές κατακτήριες δοκιμές, αλλά δεν είχε αρκετά κάυσιμα για να επιστρέψει στα pit. Το αποτέλεσμα ήταν οι αγωνοδίκες να του επιβάλουν ποινή και να τον στείλουν στην τελευταία θέση του grid. Έτσι από την πρώτη θέση θα ξεκινήσει o Pastor Maldonado με την (αναγεννημένη) Williams! Δίπλα του θα είναι ο Alonso, ενώ τη δεύτερη σειρά εκκίνησης καταλαμβάνουν τα 2 μονοθέσια της Lotus, με τον Raikkonen 4 ο . Δύσκολα λοιπόν τα πράματα για τη McLaren, αφού ο ένας της οδηγός θα ξεκινήσει 10 ος (ο Button δεν είχε καταφέρει να μπει στο Q3), ενώ ο άλλος από την τελευταία θέση. Βέβαια οι εκπλήξεις δεν σταματάνε εκεί, αφού ούτε ο Webber μπήκε στο Q3, ενώ ο Vettel κατετάγη στην 7 η θέση. Πάντως ο Massa μένει σταθερός στις κακές του εμφανίσεις για ακόμα ένα GP και θα ξεκινήσει μόλις 16 ος .
