2013 review

Drivers' Championship At the beginning everything seemed to be OK. 3 drivers were fighting for the title until the GP of Hungary, when Hamilton won the race. At the end of that GP Vettel, Alonso and Raikkonen were separated by just 39 points. A difference quite small and manageable. Everybody knew that Red Bull had the best car, but no one could imagine that Vettel will win all the races of the rest of the season... We can see how the difference escalated on the graph below (click to enlarge).

GP of Brazil

Thank God it's over! Vettel will not win any more races this year, because the GP of Brazil was the last for 2013. Once again, the champion finished first. Mercedes managed to end up in second place with Ferrari third. Button took 4 th place in the race, which was the best position for the team this year. Webber finished his career in F1 with a second place. His teammate did promise that he wouldn't let him win, so he didn't... Perhaps Schumacher in such a case would have let Webber win his final race. GP of Korea

Win and let Cry Vettel adds another victory to his winning spree (4 in a row) and he is very close to his 4 th championship. No one and nothing seems to be able to stop the German champion. Today at Korea he led the race from start to finish, without worrying about the 2 periods of the safety car. And one more thing, it was the second time in a row that he started from Pole, set the fastest lap and won the race! Very good result for Lotus, with Raikkonen finishing 2 nd and Grosjean 3 rd . Things not looking good for Ferrari. The Italian team is now in the third place in the Constructors' Championship, behind Mercedes.
